Terms of Service

1. Agreement

These Terms govern your use of Trijya — the website at trijya.in, the Trijya REST API, the Trijya MCP server, Ask Trijya, and data exports (together, the Service). The Service is operated by TechTrapture Private Limited ("we", "us"). "You" means the person or organisation using the Service; if you accept on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to bind it.

By creating an account, calling the API, connecting an agent to the MCP server or placing an order, you agree to these Terms, the Privacy Policy, the Refund & Cancellation Policy and the Delivery Policy. A signed order form or enterprise agreement prevails over these Terms where they conflict. You must be at least 18.

2. The Service

Trijya compiles publicly available Government of India records — company and LLP registers, MSME registrations, geography, banking identifiers, statutes, budgets, economic series and similar — into one queryable layer, and serves them with the date each fact was published by its source (knowledge date) and the date we captured it (capture date).

We may add, change or withdraw datasets, endpoints and features. Where a paid feature you rely on is withdrawn during a paid period, we will offer a pro-rata refund for the unused part.

3. What the data is — and is not

• As published. Records are reproduced as the government source published them. We do not create, correct or independently verify the underlying facts; source errors, omissions and delays flow through. Known source issues are corrected only where the source corrects them.
• Point in time. Every record reflects its source on its knowledge date. Registers change daily; a record can be out of date by the time you read it.
• Not an official record. Trijya is not a government service and is not affiliated with or endorsed by any ministry, regulator or registrar. Nothing from the Service is a certified copy. For a statutory filing, court or regulator, obtain the certified record from the issuing authority.
• Not advice. The Service is information, not legal, tax, credit, investment or compliance advice. Decisions you take with it — onboarding a counterparty, extending credit, a diligence conclusion — are yours, and you should verify material facts at source.

4. Ask Trijya and AI answers

Ask Trijya uses a large language model to answer questions from the records the Service holds. It shows the tool calls it made and the records it read. AI output can be wrong — it may misread a record, combine records incorrectly or state something the records do not support. Treat an answer as a pointer to the cited records, not as the answer itself, and check the records before relying on it.

Do not put personal or confidential information into a question. Questions are processed as described in the Privacy Policy.

5. Your licence to use the data

Source licences travel with the data. The underlying records remain subject to the terms their publishers attach (for example the Government Open Data Licence – India for data published on data.gov.in), including any attribution requirement. Where a source requires attribution, you must keep it when you display or share that data.

Our compilation. The selection, cleaning, joins, identifiers, provenance, structure and the database as a whole are ours. Subject to these Terms and your plan, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to:

• use API, MCP and site responses in your organisation's internal work, and inside your own product for your end users, provided you do not expose them as a bulk dataset or a substitute for the Service;
• use data exports you have bought within your organisation (including your affiliates and contractors working for you) for the term of the purchase — perpetually for a one-time copy.

You may not, without our written consent: resell, sublicense, publish or redistribute exports or bulk API output as a dataset; share an account or key outside your organisation; use the Service to build or populate a competing public-data product or database; or remove provenance or attribution fields from data you pass on.

On-request datasets are provided only under terms confirmed in writing for each order, which prevail over this section.

6. Personal data inside public records

Some public registers contain information about individuals — for example proprietors' names and business addresses in MSME registrations, or promoters in real-estate registrations — exactly as the government published it. Where you receive such data from the Service, you decide how it is used and you are responsible for that use under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and other applicable law. In particular you must not use it to:

• send unsolicited commercial communications in breach of TRAI's commercial-communication regulations or any other law;
• profile, track, harass or discriminate against any individual; or
• take automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects on an individual without human review.

If we remove or correct a record following a valid request from the person concerned or an authority, and notify you, you will apply the same removal or correction to copies you hold from the Service within 15 days.

7. Accounts, keys and acceptable use

Keep your sign-in and API keys secure; you are responsible for activity under them. Tell us promptly at support@techtrapture.com if a key is exposed.

You must not: exceed or evade plan limits, including by scraping the website or rotating accounts, IP addresses or keys; probe, load-test or attack the Service or its infrastructure; reverse-engineer it; misrepresent Trijya output as an official government record; or use the Service for anything unlawful. We may throttle, suspend or terminate access that breaches these Terms or endangers the Service, and will tell you why unless the law or security prevents it.

8. Plans, prices and payment

• Free — daily limits shown on your account page. Limits may change to keep the free tier sustainable.
• Pro — bought as a one-time payment for a fixed period (one month or twelve months). It does not renew or charge automatically; access returns to Free when the period ends unless you buy again. Buying again during a period extends it.
• Data exports — priced per dataset, scope (one state or all India) and term (one-time copy, or yearly with a fresh copy each month for twelve months).
• Enterprise — under a signed agreement.

Prices are in Indian rupees and exclusive of GST, which is added at checkout at the applicable rate. Payments are processed by Razorpay or Cashfree under their terms; we never receive your card number or UPI PIN. We issue a GST tax invoice for every payment. If you enter a GSTIN, you confirm it is yours and correct; we check it against the GST register, invoice in the registered legal name, and cannot re-issue an invoice to a different GSTIN after the return for that period has been filed. We currently accept payments in INR from buyers in India only.

Refunds are governed by the Refund & Cancellation Policy; delivery timelines by the Delivery Policy.

9. Intellectual property and feedback

The Service — software, design, the compiled database, documentation and the Trijya name and marks — belongs to TechTrapture Private Limited. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership to you. If you send us suggestions, we may use them without obligation to you.

10. Availability

We aim to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation outside a signed service-level agreement. Upstream government portals change or go offline without notice; a dataset can pause refreshing while that happens, and its capture date will show it.

11. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent the law allows, the Service and all data are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of accuracy, completeness, timeliness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent the law allows, neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, goodwill or data. Our total liability for all claims relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or ₹10,000, whichever is higher. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for fraud.

13. Indemnity

You will indemnify TechTrapture Private Limited against third-party claims, regulatory action and reasonable costs arising from your breach of §5 (licence) or §6 (personal data), or from how you use data obtained through the Service.

14. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from your account page. We may suspend or terminate for material breach, non-payment, legal requirement or risk to the Service. We may discontinue the Service on 60 days' notice to your account email, with a pro-rata refund of any unused prepaid period. Sections 5, 6, 9 and 11–15 survive termination; invoices and payment records are retained as the law requires.

15. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. The parties will first try to resolve a dispute by good-faith discussion for 30 days. Unresolved disputes go to arbitration by a sole arbitrator appointed by mutual agreement under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996; the seat is Pune, Maharashtra, and the language English. Either party may seek urgent interim relief from a competent court. Subject to that, the courts at Pune have exclusive jurisdiction.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. We will email account holders and show a notice on the site at least 15 days before a material change takes effect; continuing to use the Service after that date means you accept the change. The version and effective date are at the top of this page.
